It has been awhile since I last played X-Wing, and I really need more practice before AdeptiCon comes up on us in a few weeks, not that I am going to get in a win at AdeptiCon, but it would be nice to fly my ships knowing the rules.
This morning I woke up my son early (early for him) and we got in a game of X-Wing in before he left for work. I have been basically flying 'Scum & Villainy' since the release of X-Wing 2.0 (and I really do like Boba Fett), but I decided to go try a "Fat Han" list and see how I like it. I used to like flying a "Fat Han" back in X-Wing 1.0, or a double YT-1300 lists, but the norm in X-Wing 2.0 has been to fly 3+ ships, well let's see how this new "Fat Han" list works.
My "Fat Han" List:
Modified YT-1300 Light Freighter - •Han Solo - 132
Han Solo - Scoundrel for Hire (82)
Lone Wolf (5)
Nien Nunb (5)
R2-D2 (8)
Millennium Falconn(6)
Luke Skywalker (26)
T-65 X-wing - •Wedge Antilles - 66
Wedge Antilles - Red Two (52)
Outmaneuver (6)
R4 Astromech (2)
Shield Upgrade (6)
Servomotor S-foils (Closed) (0)
Total: 198/200
Son's Rebel List:
T-65 X-wing - Blue Squadron Escort - 41
Blue Squadron Escort - (41)
Servomotor S-foils (Open) (0)
T-65 X-wing - Blue Squadron Escort - 41
Blue Squadron Escort - (41)
Servomotor S-foils (Open) (0)
Z-95-AF4 Headhunter - •Lieutenant Blount - 36
Lieutenant Blount - Team Player (30)
Marksmanship (1)
Cluster Missiles (5)
T-65 X-wing - •Luke Skywalker - 82
Luke Skywalker - Red Five (62)
Proton Torpedoes (12)
R2-D2 (6)
Instinctive Aim (2)
Servomotor S-foils (Open) (0)
Total: 200/200
The game played the way I wanted it, I was able to attract my sons Rebel ships to go after wedge while Han was able to come up the flank.
The enemy Rebels were able to get Wedge down to 1 Hull Point left and Wedge was about to kick in the afterburners and fly and leave it up to Han, but at the last moment Han spoke to Wedge and told him to get back into fight and Wedge did a sharp right turn about and placed his ship perfectly behind 3 of the enemy ships. Han and Wedge were now able to whittle down the enemy Rebels. All that was left was to destroy Luke Skywalker. Wedge took his shots from the rear, and Han finished him off from the front for the win.
