WM: Khador Manhunter Variant (Solo)

My second "Manhunter" is now completed.  This model is the Female variant of the "Manhunter".

Like I said in the Male verison post  these models are great to run alongside "Yuri the Axe".

The double strikes with 'Weaponmaster', 'Stealth', 'Advanced Deployment', 'Pathfinder' and 'Treewalker' (thanks to "Yuri"), these guys are great to park in the woods and then Charge them out 9".

As of now, I have only tried them in one game and I am pleased for 2 points.  My plan is to use them to support a Warjack (especially when my Warjack 'Knockdowns' my opponents Warjack) and also to go 'Warcaster' hunting with them.

Again I am trying some different lighting in these pictures.  The last two posts, I used a 'flash' for the pictures (hence the brightness).  With the below pictures I just added some additional lighting and raised the model a little bit higher.  So far I think I'm pleased how the lighting turned out on these.

Not sure what will be coming up next.  I know I have to start painting my Units, but I have been dreading getting to these.  I guess I'll see what kind of mood I am in later today.

WM: Khador Yuri the Axe (Solo)

First off, 'Happy Thanksgiving" to all!  I am on my way out the door to go start the turkey at my parents house and I thought I'd go ahead and add my latest model to the blog.

Continuing on with Khador (at least for a few more models) up next we have the Solo "Yuri the Axe".  Having "Yuri" and a "Manhunter" together is just great so that the 'Manhunter' can benefit from 'Treewalker'.  "Yuri's" Special Attack is also just incredible when going up against a ranked a file 'Trencher' Unit.  Having the ability to attack all models within his weapon's 'Reach' and to have 'Weapon's Master' is just devastating.

I have one more 'Manhunter' variant to paint next and then I am undecided on what to paint next.  I have a Solo or Light Warjack for Cygnar that I can do, or I can finally start on the 'Pikemen' for Khador.

WM: Khador Manhunter (Solo)

It was time to get back to work on my own Khador army.  I have some Solo's, and Weapons Crew and a Unit of Pikemen I'd like to get done soon.  I'm saving the Unit's for last (lol.... more to paint) but they'll also eventually get done.

I decided that I will be starting on the Solo's that I have first.  I have two "Manhunter" models (both variants) and "Yuri the Axe".  For 2-3 points each, these guys will be great to be used to fill in on any shortage of points.  Not too mention the stats on these guys are pretty decent to go Warcaster hunter with.

Up first is the Male version of the "Manhunter" model.  I also decided to change the lighting on these pictures.  I'm still playing around with different settings.  I felt all the other pictures may have been too dark.

WM: Cygnar Journeyman Warcaster (Solo)

Here's the latest Cygnar model for my son's army before I move onto some more Khador or Rhul models.

Up next we have a "Journeyman Warcaster" Solo.  He'll be used to control/Focus a Warjack so that his primary Warcaster (usulally "Stryker") has a few extra Focus points for his own Battlegroup.

I still have one more Light Warjack, one Solo, and two Units that need to be painted for Cygnar.  We'll get back to them in a bit.  Time to change the color palette.

WM: Cygnar Lancer (Warjack)

More work continued on my son's Cygnar army.  I still have three Light Warjacks I need to complete for him and I started with the "Lancer" first.

Having the 'Reach' ability, he'll be able to support his other Warjacks in combat with "Lancer".

This is still the classic "Lancer" model.  I have yet to own any of the new Privateer Press plastic kits.  Maybe in the future if I start a "Cryx" army, I'll start with the 'Battlegroup' which has all new plastic models.

 Up next will probably be another Light Warjack for Cygnar.

WM: Rhul Wroughthammer Rockram (Warjack)

Now that "Gorten Grundback" was finished the other day, he needs some Heavy Warjacks to control.

For my 15 points I am going to have "Driller" and "Rockram" and seeing how I already had "Rockram" assembled, he hit the painting board first.

I painted "Rockram" very similar to the way I painted my Light Warjacks "Grundback Gunners" with one slight change.  Besides adding some 'Traitor Green', I decided to do the highlight before the wash on "Rockram".  With the "Grundback Gunners" I did the highlight afterwards and I feel the highlight sticks out just a bit.

All that's left for the Rhul army is the "Driller" and I am hoping to get to him this weekend.  Some Cygnar models will be coming up next.

WM: Rhul Gorten Grundback (Warcaster)

As I mentioned yesterday, I was going to put the Khador army on hold for a few models and continue on my Rhul army and my son's Cygnar army.

My Warcaster of choice for the Rhul army is "Gorten Grundback".  The 'Strength of Granite' spell that "Gorten" has is just too good not to pass up to cast on my Warjacks.  I also really like the sculpt of this model.  That is one benefit in getting back into Warmachine.  I always liked the sculpts of the models and they are an enjoy to paint.

I followed a similar paint scheme to what I used  for "Thor Steinhammer" with the added color of P3's 'Traitor Green' in some areas.

WM: Khador Kovnik Grigorovich (Solo)

I decided to add a 'Solo' to my Khador army "Kovnik Grigorovich".  Right now I am only running one Winter Guard Mortar Crew but I plan on having at least two units of the Mortar's and one unit of Winter Guard Rifle Corps once I expand to 50 points, so "Kovnik" will help out in the long run.

Having the benefit to boost attack rolls for Winter Guard units will be very beneficially.

"Kovnik" will be the last of the Khador models being painted this week.  With having to fly out for work this week, I decided the next couple of models will be for my Rhul army, and try to get a few more models painted for my son's Cygnar army.  Hopefully next weekend I'll be able to continue on the Khador.  I need to paint up the Mortar, and I have two "Manhunters" and "Yuri" waiting in line to be painted.

WM: Khador Juggernaut (Warjack)

The other night my local store (Empire Games) had a Classic Juggernaut marked down due to overstock.  Seeing how I like the metal models a bit more than the plastics, and the rest of my Warjacks are metal, I then decided to add "Juggernaut" to my lineup.

As soon as I brought him he was assembled/based/primed and hit the painting table.  I ended up going with the exact paint scheme that I painted my "Spriggan" in.

He actually made his debut game last night (which I ended up losing to Cygnar).
