MCP: Baron Zemo (Helmut Zemo)

Went back to te Core Set and pulled out a member of the Cabal with 'Baron Zemo'.

From what I read 'Baron Zemo' is a pretty decent character in the game, when within Range 2 of Allied characters, he allows a reroll of one die to Attacks or Defense rolls.

MCP: Captain America (Steve Rogers)

The leader of the Avengers is now completed, 'Captain America, Steve Rogers'.  It is a tough call between Spider-Man and Captain America, but I think Cap is probably my favorite Marvel character, at least Steve Rogers is.

With this model, it also makes 10 fully painted Marvel Crisis Protocol models that are completed, which is what is needed for a competitive roster (not that I plan on any events any time soon, maybe in the Fall).

MCP: Iron Man (Tony Stark)

The one, the only, "Tony Stark"...

Not really "the only", I do have another Tony Stark that came in the 'Hulkbuster' box, but this is 'Iron Man' from the original Core Set.

I tried a new brand to me of colored metallic paint called "Turbo Dork" for the red's of his armour.  I am still undecided on this paint, it took a lot of coats to cover the black primer on the model.  I know "Army Painter" has a new brand of metallic's out also, if I come across a single bottle of the right shade of red, I my try it on the next one.

MCP: Winter Soldier (James "Bucky" Barnes)

I like models with guns, I like "Bucky", so it was really fun to be able to paint the 'Winter Soldier'

The 'Winter Soldier' has a special rule called "Rogue Agent, which allows this model to count as an affiliated character during squad building.  What this means is he can count towards the 50.1% needed for a squad to benefit from their leader's special rule.  So playing "Bucky" with the Avengers or the Cabal fits into theme.

MCP: Thor (Thor Odinson)

March is now here and hopefully Winter is almost over, one good thing about Winter is that I am usually at home getting some painting done.  Once Spring/Summer hits, weekends get busy now with my fishing hobby I recently picked up.  Winter means let's get through my backlog.

Weekly Chronicle 2022 #9

Marvel Crisis Protocol is in full swing and it was a good week painting for the game.  I'll be continuing with MCP painting for quite awhile, we still have a lot of model in the backlog.

We also managed our third game this past Saturday, 17 Threat Value and I went with a movie Civil War themed list, and it did not pay out so well for me.

My squad got off to good start scoring 8 Victory Points in Round 1, but then only managed 4 in Round 2 and I was now trailing 15 to 12.  Round 3 was going to be the deciding factory and I did the score the 4 I needed for 16, but also gave up 10 points for a 25-16 loss.

I also then managed on Sunday to build the 'Sanctum Sanctorum'  terrain piece, not sure when it will actually get painted though, wish I was good with an airbrush.

This week I will be posting more MCP models as we start the month of March.

February is looking out to be really good for Marvel Crisis Protocol, I am just rolling along the backlog of unpainted miniatures.

Up next we have 'Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff)', 'Black Widow' does have two model releases, this version and one where she is listed as "S.H.I.E.L.D"

After re-watching the Black Widow movie last night, this suit she is wearing seems to be from the ending of that movie (at least that is what it looked like to me).
