Weekly Chronicle 2021 #26

Well, I finally sat down over the weekend and got some painting down.  With the Michigan GT coming up in October and the Las Vegas Open in January, the motivation is coming back to complete some models for my Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Fists army.

For both of these events, we are signing up for the "Friendly" events, so the theme of the Imperial Fists has always been about 'Bolters', so I want to be able to use any many as can to fit in with theme, obviously I want to be a little competitive, so not every unit may be about 'Bolters'.

The models I finished this weekend will be posted this week.

As with above and painting, we are going to have to get going with some practice games.  The above mentioned events will be 1500 Points at Michigan GT and 2000 Points at the Las Vegas Open.  This past Saturday we played 1000 Points, just to get some dice rolling and try out a new Unit of mine.  Because that 1 Unit was not painted is what lost me the game 42-41.

We are already registered for the Las Vegas Open, but registration for the Michigan GT opens this Thursday at Noon EST.

Daily Chronicle: LVO 2022 Registration Is Open

Registration for the Las Vegas Open 2022 officially opened today which is taking place January 28th-30th, 2022 at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino.  The main attraction for LVO 2022 is the Warhammer 40,000 Championships which takes place over all three days, but for my son and I, we elected to register for the Warhammer 40,000 Friendly event which will be 2 games on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday, this way we can finish at a decent time and still enjoy the night out in Las Vegas.

LVO 2022 will mark 5 years since I have last returned there and I am looking forward to a little time in the desert, usually I do not make the trip out West for events (since we have so many on the East coast), but for 2022 I will then be spending the following week in Arizona for a little visit with my mother.

We are finally starting to get back to a "normal" and events are opening back up......it is going to be time soon to start back at getting some models painted.
