BMG: Counter Attack Bases 'Gaming Tokens'

Last year I came across another blog that was talking about Gaming Tokens for Batman Miniature Game from a UK company called Counter Attack Bases, then early last week I stumbled across the site once more after my son and I played a few games of BMG.  I thought the tokens that they offered would be great for the game, and they are different than the ones we ordered from MuseOn Minis.

The tokens from Counter Attack Bases were more crew based, plus they also had tokens for Objectives, Sewers, and Lamp Posts.  When we play at home we will use my son's 3D Objectives, but when heading out to a tournament, it is nice to have them all in one token tray.

So last Tuesday I placed a fairly large order with them, and I was shocked this afternoon when the package arrived on my door step, usually shipping from the UK takes two weeks.

Right away I opened my package and got to sorting the tokens (my son took his tray of Muse tokens with him on vacation, so his will have to wait till he gets back).

I still need to purchase smaller trays to hold the crew tokens along with their dice, I was not expecting this order to arrive so quickly.

BMG: High Security Henchman [Unknown]

One of my recent purchases for Batman Miniature Game has been the "Blackgate Prisoners Set" and once I finished with 'Deathstroke' the other day,  I started on these four models and got them completed last night.  First up for today is the 'High Security Henchman'.

BMG: Deathstroke (Slade Wilson) [Unknown]

received some more Batman Miniature Game models in on Saturday and one of the models was 'Deathstroke', A Free Agent who can work for all of the Villains.  I thought he would be a nice add-on for any of the Villain crews that I am working.

On Sunday afternoon I decided to glue up 'Deathstroke' (along with a few other models) and then yesterday I quickly painted him up.

My son is out of town for a week, and then I will be off to Spring Fling, so not really sure when our next game of BMG will be happening.

Battle Report: BMG 4/14/2019 (Batman vs Grodd)

Yesterday my son and I got in another game of Batman Miniature Game, and this time we used the full 350/$1500 point values.  Seeing how my Central City Villains are now completed, I played with those 5 models: 'Grodd', 'King Shark', 'Gorilla Shaman', 'Gorilla Soldier 1' and 'Gorilla Soldier 2'.  My son was playing his newest Jim Lee 'Batman', 'Nightwing' and mix of 'Swat' and 'Arkham Guards'.

It took us awhile to actually get the game going, setup and I wanted to look over all the rules on my 5 cards since I have never played them before, but once we got the game going, we took our time were finished in about 3 hours (I was looking up a lot of rules).

We decided to randomly roll for a scenario from the Batmatch tournament rules, and we rolled 8, TWO FRONTS.

I am not recalling everything that happened in the game, but in the final round 'King Shark' was able to Knock Out 'Batman' and then 'Grodd' followed through and got the casualty, the rest of my Gorilla's went and secured Objectives.  Grodd crew won this match 38-18 and only left one 'Arkham Guard' left on the mat while 'Grodds' crew were all still alive (some barely holding on).

Weekly Chronicle 2019 #15

With how busy my "real work" was last week, it was actually a pretty decent week for me on the hobby front.

I did not play any games during the week (just wanted to relax after longer days at work), but I did manage to paint all 5 models for my Central City Villains and then I was able to play 3 games over the weekend.

This past Saturday were games of Guild Ball and Aristeia! and then yesterday my son and I got in a game of Batman with a full 350 points (report coming later today).

So I would say the week was really good.

Unfortunately some bad news is that I am STILL waiting for my Cook's minor Guild to arrive for Guild Ball, this is ridiculous how long they are sitting at Customs, I should have picked them up at AdeptiCon and then cancelled my web pre-order, but I did not want to do that to Discount Games.  I was hoping to have 'Cinnamon' to use for Spring Fling in a few weeks, but that those not look like it is going to happen.

It looks like this week/weekend I may be painting up some more Batman Miniature Game models.
