MCP: Rogue (Anne Marie LeBeau)

It is the last day of May and it was a very very good month for painting and I have a good backlog of posts to start June off tomorrow.

Let's finish off the month with another "Brotherhood of Mutants" and also a member of the "Uncanny X-Men".....  'Rogue'.

MCP: Magneto (Max Eisenhardt)

It is Friday, and what not a better way to end the work week than with one of the Leaders for the "Brotherhood of Mutants".

'Magneto'

After re-watching "all" the X-Men movies last week, I decided that I wanted my 'Magneto' to look more like the younger one portrayed by Michael Fassbender and less of the purple on the costume.

I used this pictture as my inspiration.

And here is my 'Magneto'

MCP: Toad (Mortimer Toynbee)

I have never been a fan of painting yellow, so when I first received this model, I was a bit leery on how I was going to paint him.

After getting through 'Sabretooth' and finding a technique that I like, it was time to tackle 'Toad'.

MCP: Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff)

My "Brotherhood of Mutants" is coming along quite nicely and as long as my 'Mystique' package gets to me fairly soon, they should all be completed by early June.

It has been just about three weeks since I have seen the new Dr, Strange 2 movie, and it was fitting to get the 'Scarlet Witch' completed this month.

MCP: Gambit (Remy LeBeau)

Continuing on with my "Brotherhood of Mutants" Affiliation, and it will be this way for the next few posts.  As long as I have the models to complete them, my plan is to finish this Affiliation.  Currently though, I have a few models lost with USPS down in Florida.

Without further adieu, here is 'Gambit'.

MCP: Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff)

At the end of last week I started posting models from a new Affiliation I am working on, the "Brotherhood of Mutants", and I started with 'Sabretooth'.

Continuing this week will be more models from the "Brotherhood" and up next is 'Quicksilver'.

MCP: Sabretooth (Victor Creed)

It's Friday and let's get in one more model in for the week.

I believe I have decided on my next Affiliation I want to play for awhile after we get back from the Atlantic City Open next month, the "Brotherhood of Mutants".

I just re-watched the younger character X-Men movies (all 4) and I am really interested in the Brotherhood.

To kick off my new Affiliation, I started with 'Sabretooth'

MCP: Nebula

I finally got around to painting my last model for the Guardians of the Galaxy (technically 'Angela' is also in the Affiliation, but I consider her for an Inhuman), I have been holding off for a little bit because I was not sure exactly how I would be painting her.

After thinking about it, it came to me and I was able to pick up the paint colors that I needed in order to complete her.

MCP: Vision (Victor Shade)

I ended up going to see "Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness" without watching WandaVision first.  After the movie (a few days later) I decided to watch the last episode just to see how it tied into the movie.  Once I saw 'Vision' in a white suit, I knew that is how I wanted to paint my model.

MCP: Blade (Eric Brooks)

A new week and it looks like I will have a few more models ready this week for posting.  Since I am undecided on my next Roster/Affiliation I want to play after the Atlantic City Open, right now I am painting models that I just want to paint.

It does help that this next model is a Leader for the Midnight Sons Affiliation, so if I decide to go that route, the Leader is completed.

Here is 'Blade'.

Weekly Chronicle 2022 #20 (1 Month Till Atlantic City Open)

It has been awhile since I have done a Weekly Chronicle (week #9 was the last), but hobbying/gaming is still going pretty decent.

The amount of games played so far this year has been low, but that is ok, I am still getting in practice for Marvel Crisis Protocol and I am enjoying that game.

We are just under one month until the Atlantic City Open on the weekend of June 10th-12th, and that is what our practice games are for.  Frontline Gaming was originally known for throwing some of the largest Warhammer 40,000 events, but their "Opens" are becoming larger with more events being held, like MCP.

Unlike my son who still needs to finish two models for his ACO Roster, my Roster is completed and right now I am painting models I want to for fun, also getting Rosters ready for future events.

This past week was a good week seeing 'Juggernaut', 'Killmonger', 'Shadowland Daredevil', and the 'Hand Ninjas' all being completed.  This week will also see a few more models being completed, then it may slow down a bit until after ACO.

Once we get back from the ACO (more than likely start on the car ride home) I'll be thinking of the next Roster I want to play at our next event, currently that will be the Michigan GT or Second Wind 4, both of which are in October unless something comes along.

MCP: Hand Ninjas

Seeing how I just completed 'Shadowland Daredevil', up next had to be the new Grunts for the model, the 'Hand Ninjas'.

Grunts are a new rule in Marvel Crisis Protocol that first start with the 'Nick Fury' character, and now with 'Shadowland Daredevil'.  They do not take up a Roster spot, nor do they have a Threat value.  They are just an added model that comes out when they meet a certain condition based on their parents card.

MCP: Shadowland Daredevil (Matt Mudock)

I really did not think I would be getting to painting this model so quickly (with our current backlog), but I am looking at different Roster options for our next event after Atlantic City Open, and the Criminal Syndicate Affiliation is one of my choices.

'Shadowland Daredevil' which is a recent release for Marvel Crisis Protocol is one of two Leaders for the Criminal Syndicate.  Any rule that can grant re-rolls in this game is a good thing, and his "Shadow War" leadership ability does just that.

MCP: Killmonger (N'Jadaka)

I am not really sure why I painted this model next (I do not have an urgency to use him in an upcoming Roster), I think it was more of I just finished 'Luke Cage' and thought that this model 'Killmonger' would also be pretty easy/quick to paint up.

So, another member of the Wakanda Affiliation, here is 'Killmonger'.

MCP: Juggrenaut (Cain Marko)

I was able to get a few models prepped and ready for the painting table last week, and one of them that I have been wanting to paint for awhile is 'Juggernaut'.

In all honesty, I really do not know much about this character, except he looks pretty cool, and I am glad they added him to the game.

'Juggernaut' was released just before AdeptiCon 2022, but I was not able to purchase him there (sold out), so I had to wait until we got back and had to use my reliable online store Discount Games.

Most of the 'Juggernauts' I have seen painted recently when with a bronzed color helmet for the model, after googling some photos of the character, I elected to go with a red helmet and used one of Army Painter new metallic paints on it.

MCP: Wong

My son still needs to get a few more models completed for his Atlantic City Open roster, and the models that he purchases himself, I usually let him paint them himself unless he or I asks.  I asked him if he wanted me to help out so I completed 'Wong' for him.

MCP: Ronan the Accuser

This past weekend I was able to work on two more models and get a game in (which I barely lost 13-14, time ran out), one of the models is another character for the Guardians of the Galaxy Affiliation, 'Ronan the Accuser'

Usually while painting my models, I use a wash over the model, in a rare instance the model looks good without the wash, and I thought this was one of those times.

Here is 'Ronan the Accuser'
