WM: Protectorate Vanquisher (Warjack)

My "Kossite Woodsmen" are starting to feel jealous.  The other day when I 'primed' "Amon Ad-Raza" I also 'primed' my son's "Vanquisher" model for The Protectorate of Menoth.  The "Vanquisher" model was one of the models my son purchased this past weekend at the "Mercenary Market".

WM: Protectorate High Allegiant Amon Ad-Raza (Warcaster)

Last Saturday my son received a 'steal' of a deal at our local game store (Empire Games).  About every three months that hold what is called a 'Mercenary Market', individuals can come in and sell any wargaming items that they want.  The store handles all the transactions and at the end of the day, the seller receives a store gift card for the total amount they sold.  No fee's for table space, only drawback is that you receive store credit.

WM: Protectorate Revenger (Warjack)

It was another slow week for painting, but I was able to manage to get a model done yesterday to add to the Protectorate of Menoth army that my son has.  I decided to work on his "Revenger" Light Warjack that he has.  I also decided to try a slightly different painting style with this Warjack.

WM: Protectorate Crusader (Warjack)

I finally was able to continue on my son's Protectorate of Menoth army that he received for Christmas with the "Crusader" Warjack.  Between running around this weekend doing personal errands and bumping up the "Reinholdt Gobber" model, the "Crusader" finally was finished last night.  Shortly after Christmas I painted up his "High Exemplar Kreoss" miniature just to get a feel on how I was going to paint up the 'white' on the Protectorate models.  I was very happy with how "Kreoss" turned out, but I am not sure about the "Crusader".

WM: Protectorate Vessel Of Judgment (Sneak Peak)

Privateer Press released today the final 'sneak peak' concept sketch of their Battle Engines for Warmachine.  Here is the art for The Protectorate Of Menoth Battle Engine.

I actually really like the look of this model.  Knowing me, I'll probably buy one of each of the Battle Engines when they get released.

WM: Protectorate High Exemplar Kreoss (Warcaster)

My first attempt ever for painting a Protectorate of Menoth model.  Santa had brought a 15 point army for my son and I was itching to try painting one of these guys.  I've been contemplating on how I was going to paint the 'white' for this army.  I really do not like painting white.  I like to 'speed paint' and white just takes to long.... lol...

Here is what I did for my attempt at 'Protectorate White':

First; Primer the entire model with 'flat white' spray.  I really enjoy priming with 'black' since black allows you to be a little sloppy and the model still looks good.  With white you have to spend more time applying your base coats in order not to show any white in the crevices.

Second; I base coated the model using all P3 paints.  The 'white' areas were base coated with 'Menoth White Base'.

Third; With the entire model now base coated with the colors I wanted to use, I 'washed' the entire model with GW 'Gryphnne Sephia'.  I felt that if I used 'Devlan Mud', the crevices in the cloak would be too dark.

Fourth; With the 'wash' now dry, it was time for final highlights.  The red areas were highlighted with 'Sanguine Highlight'.  All the white areas were now painted with 'Menoth White Highlight' and make sure to try and leave some of the base coat and wash showing in the crevices.

Fifth; I then decided to use GW 'Badab Black' wash and apply just a 'fine' amount on the red cloth and on some of the metal areas, specifically on the mask.

All in all, I think "Kreoss" came out looking pretty good for tabletop.  Now we shall see how the 'white' looks like when I attempt a Warjack.  This wont be for awhile, still too much Cygnar to paint.
