GenCon 2019 officially starts tomorrow, just like last year, my plan is too only attend this Sunday's event. The Sunday ticket has a special price of just $15, compared to $110 for all 4 days, or $75 on Saturday.
My son and I are going to check out the Vendor Hall too see what items we can pick up. My list slightly changed from two weeks ago and below is an updated version (italicized), honestly I am not sure how much we will be able to purchase off our list, most of the vendors are required to charge the Indianapolis sales tax, so in some instances it may be better to just purchase the items online (especially if it is a large order and we can receive free shipping), but obviously we will not know till we get there.
Hobby
Washes/Paints (if there is something I see that I really want), maybe some more Army Painter paints.
GW Contrast Paints?
Terrain
BMG/Guild Ball small obstacles/buildings
Models
BMG Bronze Tiger
BMG Teen Titans? undecided
BMG White/Dark Knight (Harvey)
BMG Ventriloquist Crew? undecided
BMG Heavy Trooper
BMG Penguin Bat-Box
Arena Rex Con Dice
X-Wing? still undecided if anything is needed, maybe Mining Tie.
Warmachine/Hordes Oblivion? still undecided on this one, more than likely not.
I removed the Guild Ball Rookies since they will not be available and made my purchase online last Friday.
DCU Rulebook (if available)
D8 Dice Sets (for DCU)
D6 Dice Sets (if there are colors we like/want)
8" AOE (for DCU)
2x6" AOE (for DCU)
30mm x8-12 markers (for DCU)
I am sure in Monday's "Weekly Chronicle" I will be posting pictures of the items we were able to snag at GenCon.

BMG: Joker's Bus Driver [Joker]
How fitting it is, it is the last day of the month of July, and the last model from the "Why So Serious" box. The final model from this box is 'Joker's Bus Driver'.
I still have a few more models to complete (3) from "The Joker: Clowns Party" Bat-Box and then it will be time to move onto another Crew or project, though one of those three models is 'Gaggy' and I am not looking forward to painting him, I may just skip him for now, we'll see.

Daily Chronicle: DC Universe Miniature Game Physical Rulebook Announced
There has been some talk the last few months about what is going to be happening to the DC Universe Miniature Game. Some of the rumors have been; Knight Models will be dropping DCUMG, the game will turn into a board game like Harry Potter, and a new version 2.0 will be released.
A little over ten days ago, Knight Models made an announcement on Facebook that for the first time, the DCUMG is getting a physical rulebook. This rulebook collects all of the rules, errata and FAQ, and adds illustrated background and showcases miniatures. It is not a version 2.0 of the rulebook, they say it is more like 1.75.
As of now there has not been a date set for this new rulebook, I am hoping it is this coming weekend. For the first time ever, Knight Models will be attending GenCon down in Indianapolis starting this Thursday, and my son and I will be attending on Sunday. If by chance Knight Models does have the rulebook and is selling it, there is a good chance I may pick up the rules.
The game does not interest me in a competitive format, I think BMG does a good job with balance and objectives for tournament play, but I can see playing DCUMG for fun. Seeing how a lot of the models from BMG can be used in DCUMG, it would only make sense. My only concern is/will be if I start getting the rules mixed up between the two systems.
Here is a look at some pictures of the new rulebook.

BMG: Grumpy [Joker]
I am so close to finishing off the remaining models from the "Why So Serious" box and today's Henchman is 'Grumpy'.
Just one more model and this box will be completed, afterwards I have a few more models to complete from "The Joker: Clowns Party" Bat-Box and then it will be time to move onto another Crew or project, what that will be, I honestly do no know at the moment.

Weekly Chronicle 2019 #30
Week #30 was not a bad week at all, not many games were played, but more painting did continue. I was able to complete my 2 lists that I want to play at the 250 Rep Friday tournament at Renegade Open, at least my lists for now. The Renegade Open is still about 4 months away, so ideas my change, new models may entice me to change lists, but if all that fails, I have my backup plans.
I was out of town for most of the weekend visiting the Mighty Mac up in Northern Michigan so not much gaming was played this week, but we did manage to get in a game of X-Wing yesterday afternoon. I was trying a different Rebel Alliance list and my son was trying out the Galactic Republic for the first time. My Rebels ended up winning 327-73, and I am seriously considering that list for the NOVA Open next month.
So that brings me to the NOVA Open at the end of next month where my son and I will be playing in the X-Wing Grand Championships on Friday and the Guild Ball Regional Cup tournament on Saturday. Most of the month of August will probably be dedicated to squeezing these games in to play when time allows (hopefully we can still at least get in 1 game of BMG to still keep it fresh in our minds). With last week's releases of some of the Free Cities Draft Rookies for Guild Ball, I got all excited again for my Butcher's Guild and cannot wait to try 'Layne' out on the Pitch. I am hoping my order arrives in time for me to get him painted for the NOVA Open.
For the coming week I will be finishing up the rest of Joker's "Why So Serious" box, and then move back to the "The Joker: Clowns Party" Bat-Box for a few models. Once those are completed, GeCon is this coming weekend where my son and I will be attending on Sunday just for some Vendor Hall shopping, I am really do not know what I will be walking out with from the show, next Monday's Chronicle we shall find out.

BMG: Happy [Joker]
Back to some BMG for the morning and continuing on with getting my lists completed for the 250 Rep Friday tournament at Renegade Open in November. My second lists is going to be led by a different Leader, the new 'Joker' from the "Why So Serious" box, and the last model needed to complete my lists is a Henchman from that box, 'Happy'. Now both lists are completed and I will probably finish up the rest of the box.

Guild Ball: Farmer's Guild Reveal 'Amber'
Today the fifth Rookie from the Free Cities Draft was released, and it is 'Amber' for the Farmer's Guild.
You can read about 'Amber' on the SFG blog HERE, and her cards are below. The new Rookies went on sale today, and of course, the collector in me had to pick them all up, you never know when I will change Guilds to play, so I want to make sure I have all the options.

BMG: Joker (DKR) [Joker]
As I mentioned in yesterdays post with 'Archie', my main priority is to finish the models needed for the 250 Rep Friday tournament at Renegade Open in November. My second lists is going to be led by a different Leader, the new 'Joker' from the "Why So Serious" box, which belongs to the Dark Night Rises.
I really like how Heath Ledger portrayed 'Joker' in this movie and wanted to make sure that this model would come out looking nice. Not pro painter quality, but I am very happy outcome.
When I first opened this box to remove the cards to be sleeved, I did not pay much attention, but when I re-opened the box to start assembling the models, I noticed all 5 of the bases were missing from my box. I quickly filled out the Contact form on Knight Models website, but I know it will take awhile for them to arrive from Spain. Luckily for me I still have plenty of boxes sitting on my shelves and I opened up the Riddle box and "borrowed" 5 bases. That Bat-Box can wait till my replacements arrive.
I will continue working on the 5 models from this box before I head back over to the "The Joker: Clowns Party" Bat-Box .

Guild Ball: Mortician's Guild Reveal 'Gaffer'
The fourth Rookie from the Free Cities Draft is released today, and it is 'Gaffer' for the Mortician's Guild.
You can read about 'Gaffer' on the SFG blog HERE, and his cards are below. I am not sure what time all these new Rookies will go on sale tomorrow, but since I will be driving for a weekend getaway, I'll be sure to pull over and get my order in.

BMG: Archie [Joker]
Since my main priority is to finish the models needed for the 250 Rep Friday tournament at Renegade Open in November, I'll be slightly putting the rest of the models from "The Joker: Clowns Party" Bat-Box on the back burner.
Up next is a clown that no one likes to play against because of his Trait Sad Life, which makes your opponent have to spend an extra Action Counter to do anything if they are within 6" of him, he can never die with Truly Immortal, and all for a cost of 35 Rep.
My I present to you....'Archie'.

The third Rookie from the Free Cities Draft is released today, and it is 'Edge' for the Hunter's Guild.

BMG: Borgon the Cursed [Joker]
Continuing with the lists I need for the 250 Rep Friday tournament at Renegade Open in November and painting the "The Joker: Clowns Party" Bat-Box, up next is the big guy 'Borgon', and I love this model, any model that can dish out 8 Blood, I love.

Guild Ball: Butcher's Guild Reveal 'Layne'
Well this is the Rookie I have been waiting for since the results of the Free Cities Draft, 'Layne' for the Butcher's Guild, another Striker for our Guild.
You can read about 'Layne' on the SFB blog HERE, and his cards are below. I am really looking forward to that +1/0" KICK each time he inflicts damage, and the T playbook result on a successful attack.
I really hope I can get him in time and play him at NOVA Open.
